Membership Information

It is our intention to initiate a road map for leadership in the face of ever-dwindling budgets, heightened enrollment pressures, close public scrutiny and the demand for accountability.

The Council seeks to:

  • Enhance educational leadership effectiveness
  • Facilitate an exchange of ideas, data and information
  • Monitor and influence legislation related to issues affecting students and the well-being of the institutions
  • Influence accreditation standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Design, develop and offer workshops, seminars and conferences for professional development for faculty and administration
  • Encourage collaborative, cooperative and consortium arrangements
  • Provide a forum for college presidents to share problems and ideas

NECC Member Benefits:

  • An annual meeting held in coordination with the NEASC annual meeting
  • An annual NECC conference focusing on a topic of interest to members held in varying locations
  • Eligibility to nominate a student for the Annual NECC Scholarship Award

The Council works in collaboration with agencies and organizations such as the New England Board of Higher Education, The College Board and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., to serve the associate degree educational community.
